Experience in the Heart of the Amazon

DAY 1.- EXPEDITION BETWEEN RIVERS AND RAINFOREST. (Lake of Ipanema)
Hotel Meeting at, approximately, 08:00. Our guide will pick you up directly from your accommodation to begin the adventure. We head to the Ceasa Port, where we’ll board a speedboat bound for the breathtaking natural phenomenon known as the “Meeting of the Waters,” where the Amazon and Negro rivers flow side by side without mixing. After witnessing this spectacular river display, we continue by boat to the port of Careiro da Várzea. There, we’ll take a Combi van along the legendary BR-319 highway, crossing jungle landscapes for about an hour until we reach the Mamorí River.
At Mamorí, we’ll board a boat that will take us through Amazonian channels and lakes to the Amazon Ipanema Lodge, located directly across from Lake Ipanema. We’ll arrive around midday to enjoy a regional lunch and settle into our rooms. In the afternoon (15:00), we’ll explore the flooded forest in a motorized canoe, navigating through igapós, floating islands, and hidden channels. We’ll have the chance to observe local wildlife, including the Tucuxi dolphin (Sotalia fluviatilis), exotic birds, and the magical sunset over Lake Ipanema. Upon returning to our jungle lodge, a comforting dinner awaits. Then, we’ll head out once more for a unique experience: nocturnal wildlife observation, including caiman spotting with flashlights- an exciting and safe activity that unveils the mysteries of the rainforest under the stars.
