DAY 1: THE MEETING POINT (Boa Vista/ Pacaraima/ Santa Elena)

Our expedition begins with a meeting in Boa Vista at the hotel of your choice (we offer prior advice on the best local lodging options). We start a 3-hour land transfer to the border town of Pacaraima, where our specialized team will manage all customs and migration procedures. After crossing the border and completing legal protocols on the Venezuelan side, we switch to 4WD vehicles specifically designed for the regional terrain. We continue to the picturesque town of Santa Elena de Uairén to check into our accommodation. The day culminates with a detailed briefing: a comprehensive information session regarding safety, equipment, and the route we will follow through one of the oldest and most fascinating geological formations on the planet. Get ready for a total immersion in the powerful energy of the Guiana Shield! (B/L/-)

DAY 2: THE EXPEDITIONS BEGINS (Santa Elena/ Paraitepuy/ Kukenan River Camp)

After breakfast, we board our 4WD vehicles for a 2-hour drive along the Gran Sabana highway, followed by 25 km of unpaved roads to reach the Indigenous Community of Paraitepuy (1,200 m.a.s.l), the official starting point of our trek. After final logistical preparations and gear weighing, we begin our 13.5 km hike toward the Kukenán River camp. The route is truly fascinating as we approach the Precambrian giants: Iwarkarima, Wadaká Piapó, and the imposing Mounts Roraima and Kukenán. Along the way, we will cross several streams and two main rivers: the Tek and the Kukenán. This stage takes approximately 5 hours of active hiking. We conclude the day by setting up camp by the riverside, surrounded by breathtaking landscapes and ancient energy. Personal porter services are available upon request to enhance your experience. Overnight in tents by the Kukenán River. (D/A/C)

DAY 3: AT THE GATES OF THE LOST WORLD (Kukenán River Camp/ Base Camp)

We continue our journey toward the Base Camp of the majestic Mount Roraima (1,950 m.a.s.l), an unforgettable trek through a truly unique natural environment. As we advance, you will feel a gradual transition in the atmosphere, facing an elevation gain of 850 meters from the Kukenán River to the very foothills of the mountain. The trail immerses us in endemic landscapes of extraordinary beauty, where the rare flora and fauna reveal the deep spiritual connection that indigenous peoples have maintained with this sacred site since ancestral times. Upon reaching the base camp, we are rewarded with a refreshing bath in the crystalline waters flowing directly from the cliffs—a moment of absolute purity and renewal. The day concludes with the magical experience of spending the night in tents under a brilliant starry sky, intensifying the feeling of being in a mythical and revered land. (B/L/D)

DAY 4: THE LOST WORLD (Base Camp/ Summit)

Relive the legendary 1884 feat of British explorers Im Thurn and Perkins, whose journey inspired Sir Arthur Conan Doyle to write his famous book 'The Lost World', as we ascend the historic route to the summit. The trek immerses us in a dense, mystical forest, home to unique species like Brocchinia cordylinoides and Stegolepis guianensis, living symbols of Guianan biodiversity. Every step connects us to the power of the tepui jungle, as roots and ancient trunks guide our upward climb. Before the final ramp, the 'Pass of Tears waterfall greets us with its crystalline waters and thunderous roar, marking the threshold to an ancestral landscape. At the top, you’ll be rewarded with the sight of giant tree ferns and rocks covered in cyanobacteria (stromatolites) that evoke a primeval world. After a short walk, we reach the Hoteles—natural cave shelters—and the Jacuzzis, small natural pools perfect for a well-deserved rest. First Night on the Summit. (B/L/D)

DAY 5: MEETING THE THREE BORDERS (Triple Point/ La Fosa/ Valley of Crystal)

From our cave refuge, called "Hotels" we begin the day exploring the most emblematic sites on Roraima's summit. Our first stop is the impressive Valley of Crystals, the largest on the tepui, where the ground is carpeted with quartz formations, creating a dazzling and surreal landscape perfect for photography. The trail then leads us to Triple Point, a unique geographical landmark marking the natural border between Venezuela, Brazil, and the Essequibo territory, currently disputed by Guyana; a place that conveys a profound sense of unity and grandeur. Further along, we reach La Fosa, a cavern with icy waters, considered the coldest on Roraima and ideal for a revitalizing bath that combines adventure with purification. In this magical setting, we enjoy a light lunch before returning to our natural shelters fully immersed in the silence and prehistoric energy of this sacred land. Second Night on the Summit. (B/L/D)

DAY 6: EXPLORATION DAY (La Ventana/ Jacuzzis/ Crystal Eye Valley)

Today is devoted to exploring the most breathtaking corners of the summit. We begin with an early morning hike to La Ventana, a natural viewpoint offering a stunning perspective of Roraima's eastern wall, with the neighboring Kukenán Tepui standing as a silent guardian and the Guiana rainforest stretching below like an endless green sea. After a comforting breakfast, we spend the afternoon in active contemplation, wandering through natural gardens and fissures filled with unique endemic flora. We will also visit the natural Jacuzzis, crystal-clear pools perfect for relaxation. We then return to our "hotel" for a well-deserved lunch and a brief rest. Later, we prepare to visit a cave that stands as a witness to millions of years of erosion: the Crystal Eye Cave (Cueva Ojos de Cristal). Inside, we will observe fascinating geological formations, including speleothems, sandstones, and quartz, all carved by the small stream that has eroded this grotto over eons. We return to our camp for rest. Third Night on the Summit. (B/L/D)

DAY 7: THE DESCENT (The Maverick/ La Rampa/ Base Camp)

The final sunrise on Roraima's summit invites us to bid a grateful farewell to this ancient Lost World. Before beginning the descent through La Rampa, we offer the chance for those with extra energy the optional ascent to Maverick Peak, the highest point of the tepui at 2,810 m.a.s.l., providing a spectacular 360-degree view of the savannah—a perfect time to embrace the powerful energy of the Lost World. As we begin our descent, keep an eye out for the Oreophrynella quelchii, a tiny black frog endemic to the tepuis and a symbol of resilience in this isolated ecosystem. Its presence is a natural privilege that highlights the unique character of this environment. We continue our descent carefully, focusing on protecting our knees from the physical impact. Finally, we arrive at the Base Camp, where we set up our tents and prepare dinner. We spend one last night under the shelter of the Precambrian giant, Mount Roraima. (B/L/D)

Here, we will enjoy a picnic lunch and a refreshing swim in the waters of this mystic river, a place steeped in local legends. Afterward, we gather our gear and cross the river for a final hour-long hike to the Tek River Camp. We set up our tents for our final night in the field—a time for celebration and reflection on the profound experiences shared during the expedition. (B/L/D)

Very early in the morning, we take our breakfast to enjoy along the trail by the river. We keep on our final trek back to the indigenous community of Paraitepuy, reliving with each step the grand landscapes that first welcomed us. Upon arrival, our 4WD vehicles will take us to the village of San Francisco de Yuruaní for a very special farewell lunch. This is a unique opportunity to share time with the local inhabitants, learning about their traditions, hospitality, and the cultural richness that guards these sacred mountains. Finally, we continue to Santa Elena de Uairén to cross the border, closing the circle of our adventure. Overnight in a hotel at Boa Vista.
